After a 12-day layoff from competition, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's cross country runners improved their times during the Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational on Sept. 7.
Nearly all of the Hawks clocked faster times than they did in the opener at Cherokee, with some runners improving their performance by as much as two minutes.
