Mrs. Anna Broring, is a first-year music and band teacher at CC/E Elementary and high school choir teacher at Sioux Central schools.

Mrs. Anna Broring is a recent Wartburg College graduate, receiving her degree in Music Education. She is certified to teach K-12 vocal, instrumental and orchestral music, which is a perfect fit for her dual-school positions at CC/E and Sioux Central schools. Broring appreciates working with children of all age groups daily.

The charm of CC/E's tight-knit community of teachers, administration, parents and children is something that Broring gravitates to.

"The small class sizes make it so easy to build relationships with students," she said. "As a music teacher who sees the entire school population in one day twice a week, I am already able to learn the kids' names and remember things about their personalities after one week."

She is most excited to get to know the students and watch their musical abilities grow.

"My students can look forward to learning all kinds of musical concepts, playing a variety of instruments and exploring all different genres of music in my classroom," she said.

Broring said her passion for music led her to pursue a career in education.

"I love teaching because I genuinely love sharing my content area with students," she said. "I have seen music impact kids' lives in amazing ways and getting to share that impact every single day is the biggest blessing in my life."
