H-M-S has 3 players on all-War Eagle baseball team

Sam Heyn named to conference first team

The H-M-S baseball team didn't earn a win in War Eagle play this year, but it was awarded a victory due to forfeit from Gehlen Catholic. The Jays were quarantined for part of the season after one of their players tested positive for COVID-19.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn is represented by three players on the 2020 all-War Eagle Conference baseball team. All three are first-time honorees.

Junior Sam Heyn was named to the all-War Eagle Conference first team, while senior Samuel Haack is a second-team selection and sophomore Keaton Graves earned honorable mention recognition.

Since Gehlen Catholic's program was suspended for two weeks due to COVID-19, the records released with the all-conference selections credit a win to teams whose games with the Jays were canceled. As a result, H-M-S is listed as having a conference win. Gehlen Cathol...
