The H-M-S marching band shook the gym during a special performance Oct. 18.

The word extravaganza is defined as "a lavish or spectacular show or event," which aptly describes the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Indoor Marching Extravaganza.

Groups featured on Oct. 18 in the high school gym included the cheer squad; Dance Attack, which presented the hoopla routine that will be performed at state; and the flag corps accompanied by "Shake It Off."

The Marching Hawks led off the extravaganza with pep calls and the school song, and closed the evening with the show that was performed at half time of football games.

Directors and coaches for the groups are Andrew Yenzer, marching band; Kristi Daggett, flag corps; Brittany Dolphin, Dance Attack; and Tricia Vial, cheer.

The cheer team got the crowd going with pom-poms and Hawk pride.
