A funeral service for Michael R. Benner was held Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn. Pastor Joseph Bangert officiated.

Pallbearers were Justin Van Tol, Leon Aaron, Jerry Niichel, Greg Vogelaar, Dave Sheffield, Terry Jaycox and Dan Daggett. Honorary pallbearers were Bradley Van Egdom, Brady Van Egdom Nathan Benner, Amber Benner, Brock Benner, Austin Houser and Whitney Houser. Interment was at Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley. Sanborn Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
