The wins keep coming

A late rally and a strong start led the Okoboji/HMS girls’ wrestling team to a sweep of duals hosted by Sioux Center on Dec. 10.

Trailing LeMars twice in the team scoring, the Pioneers rallied for a 42-36 win. Okoboji/HMS flipped the script against Sioux Center, building a comfortable lead on its way to a 48-27 victory.

Addilyn Plathe, Brilee Fauth and Jenessa Gates won both of their matches.

Two H-M-S athletes were among nine Pioneers who split their matches. Miley Appledorn won by fall over Mackenna Frerichs of LeMars (0:51) and lost by fall to Maritza Morales Chavez of Sioux Center (5:17)....
