Sounds of the Christmas season

Students at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School performed music with a holiday theme during the winter concert on Dec. 9.

The jazz choir, featuring soloist Jamie Diaz, sang "All I Want for Christmas is You." The concert choir presented "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire), "Mary, Did You Know?" and "A Very, Merry Christmas."

Making their first public appearance of the year, jazz band members performed "Birdland," with soloist David Wetrich on baritone saxophone. The number is one of the selections the jazz band will perform at future contests. Holiday-themed "Angels We Have...
