Arlo W. Newman, 96, Milford

A funeral service in memory of Arlo W. Newman was held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Interment was in Westport Cemetery. Turner Jenness Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Arlo Wayne Newman was born on March 17, 1928 in Comfrey, Minn., to Raymond and Vernetta (Pelley) Newman. He lived on various farms west of Milford. He attended Westport School #5 and graduated from Okoboji Consolidated High School in 1945. During his high school years as a proud Okoboji Oriole, he played basketball and baseball.
