Hawk boys wrap WEC dual schedule

Remsen St. Mary’s and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn wrapped up their War Eagle Conference dual schedules with a meet on May 6 at Remsen.

St. Mary’s was the winning team, 172-201, led by the Top 4 players on the leader board: Hunter Pick 41, Ty Tritz, 42, Caleb Gravenish 44 and Colin Homan 45.

Individual scores for H-M-S were Jack Mastbergen 49, Blake Meendering and Slayton McCarter 50, Aiden Bush and Eli Mastbergen 52, and Kolby Douma 59.

H-M-S finished the dual season with a record of 0-10. The Hawks’ average team score for the season was 199.4.

No H-M-S golfer qualified for the All-War Eagle Conference teams this year. The Top 10 players with the most individual points earned during the season are included on the first team and the next 10 are recognized on the second team.

Place-finishes and individual points for H-M-S players are: Jack Mastbergen, No. 28, 70.5; Blake Meendering, No. 40, 53.5; Aiden Bush, No. 41, 52.5; Eli Mastbergen, No. 53, 37; Kolby Douma, No. 59, 30; Slayton McCarter, No. 70, 14; Talan Zearing, No. 72, 11; Dominic Tripp, No. 79, 4.
