The end of the War Eagle Conference girls’ dual golf season was in sight when Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn played MMCRU on May 3 at Marcus. The hosts won the second-to-last dual of the season, 226-236.

Continuing their consistent play, Gracie Knobloch and Kinsey Schirmer finished at the top of the leader board, finishing with nine-hole scores of 43 and 51, respectively.

Ava Dolphin and Kinley Sampson both carded rounds of 71. Kamrynn Visser played JV and shot an 87.

Results of the Hawks’ dual with Gehlen Catholic were determined by the nine-hole score at the conference tournament on April 30. The Jays claimed the win with a 202 team total, as H-M-S only had two players compete.

Knobloch (45) was No. 2 and Schirmer (47) was No. 3 on the leader board. The Jays’ Rysaiah Sitzmann (44) and McKenna Sitzmann (51) were the other meet medalists.
