Kinsey Schirmer was the No. 2 medalist in H-M-S's meet with Harris-Lake Park. She shot a round of 51.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn overcame early difficulties to play better golf against Harris-Lake Park on April 9. The War Eagle Conference dual was played at Sanborn Golf and Country Club.

The Hawks (0-2) lowered their team score from their previous meet by 12 strokes but still lost to the Wolves, 172-192.

"We battled back from some early problems and played mentally tough golf," Hawk coach Mark Japenga said. "We are starting to have some kids really develop and shoot better golf. I expect us to continue to improve and we hope to shoot even lower in future meets."

Jack Mastbergen finished in a tie with the Wolves' Caden Vant Hul at the top of the medalist list. Both finished with nine-hole scores of 41.
