Games like bowling kept carnival-goers busy Friday night.

Last Friday marked Clay Central/Everly's final big event of a busy month – the annual CC/E Fish Fry and Carnival.

The free-will donation event ran from 5-7 p.m., starting in the lunchroom where a delicious meal of fried Alaskan Pollock, macaroni salad, baked beans and drink were served. The lunchroom was packed nearly the entire night with diners galore.

The CC/E elementary kitchen was abuzz as volunteers prepped food.

Following the meal, patrons headed to the gym where the carnival was abuzz. Children of all ages ran around from game to game, playing for tickets to spend at the prize table. Local businesses such as Toft Electric, State Bank, Home State Bank, Premier Communications, Royal Museum and Clay Raiders 4-H group each hosted a game at the carnival, bringing the community to the forefront of the fun and support. From balloon darts to the duck pond, beanbag tosses to PLINKO, bowling to football toss, there was something for everyone in the gym.

An ice cream dessert was served by the Clay Raiders 4-H Club to fulfill everyone's sweet tooth desires.

Throughout the night, tickets were sold for a "Stay and Play Weekend Getaway Package" at Grand Falls Casino. The winner was Wyatt Hicks, of Paullina.
