Holy Week has begun, with Easter Sunday just around the corner.

Pictured here, Bethlehem Lutheran Church's Pastor Mark Wilms, shares the good word at one of the King's Kamp stations last Wednesday afternoon. Participants headed from station to station learning about Holy Week with the reenactment and telling of Biblical parables. Parables included Jesus washing the disciples feet, showing that if even He as their Lord could stoop low enough to wash their feet, then surely they can do so for one another and for all people. They also partook in their own version of the Last Supper, noting the symbolic significance of the bread and wine, Jesus' body and blood

The Kings Kampers then headed to the station shown, Jesus's crucifixion on the cross. Pastor Wilms told of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made to wash us clean of our sins of the past, present and future. Students ended their station lessons by heading to a makeshift tomb, to crawl inside and see that Jesus was "risen indeed!" They discussed how Mary Magdalene found that His body was no longer there and how Jesus appeared to Mary to tell her the great news of His resurrection. They noted that this was then the completion of what Jesus was sent here to do – the forgiveness of our sins.

Songs were also sung to praise the Lord for His ultimate gift and sacrifice all because of His never ending love for us.
