Kamryn Ebel brings the ball up the court during the Hawks' loss to Hinton last Friday.

• Comets start strong in win

Strong starts in both halves propelled Boyden-Hull to a 63-52 non-conference win on Jan. 25 in Hartley.

The Comets outscored H-M-S by eight in the first quarter and 10 in the third. The Hawks rallied in the second quarter and cut the deficit to 30-29. But they were unable to make up ground after falling behind by 11 points in the third quarter.

Douma and Otto both scored 10 points, Mohni scored nine, Knobloch scored seven, Schiphoff and Tewes scored five, and Kamryn Ebel and Sheeler scored three.
