Home State Bank donates to local groups around Royal area

Royal businesses on Dec. 13 hosted their Christmas open houses to the public. Storefronts from one end of Main Street to the next opened their doors with delicious treats, beverages and merry conversation to thank patrons for their support this past year.

One of the jolly businesses handing out joy and cheer was Home State Bank. Their mission each year is to give back to the community in which they serve by finding local organizations, non-profits and groups that could use funding for future projects.

This year Home State Bank gave to more than a dozen local entities, distributing over $5,225....
