To the editor:

I have always heard we are “Iowa Nice!” But if that is true, how can we support Mr. Trump and his MAGA Republicans?

Trump’s behavior of lying, cheating, calling people names and threatening them is not an example of “Iowa Nice.” Trump’s rhetoric has encouraged violence, which we are seeing play out as judges, court employees and political opponents are receiving death threats. And increasingly his rhetoric has taken on a tone of Hitler and Mussolini.
