Place finishers at West Lyon Invite

Okoboji/HMS girls' wrestlers participated in the West Lyon Invitational on Nov. 20 at Inwood. Two H-M-S athletes were among the place finishers.

Madi Lauer lost by fall (0:18) to Avery Beissel of Spirit Lake Park in the semifinals at 120 pounds, and won the third-place match by fall (5:28) over Karla Anzua of MOC-Floyd Valley.

Miley Appeldorn, wrestling at 125 pounds, lost by fall (3:47) to Adriana Gutierrez of MOC-FV, won by fall (2:17) over Mia Kraai of Sioux Center in the consolation semifinals and lost the third-place match by fall to Gutierrez (3:47).
