• Charged with forgery
Dylan Bronson-Groen, 24, of Sanborn, was arrested on Aug. 20 for allegedly passing a fake check at People’s Bank in Sheldon.
The complaint filed by the Sheldon Police Department states that Bronson-Groen attempted to cash the check in April of this year and allegedly knew it was not legitimate. The check had the correct routing number for a bank in Pennsylvania and the name of an account holder, but the wrong account number and a fake signature.
Bronson-Groen was allegedly the driver of a vehicle which brought two other defendants, Jesse Eldridge, Jr. and Daniel Molenaar, to the bank in exchange for a full tank of gas and a partial cut of the money from the check.
Bronson-Groen was charged with Forgery, a class D felony. He was booked into jail and released the same day. A court date has been set for Sept. 5.
