Everly mini-golf tournament raises over $1,500 for cancer patients

Everly resident Denise Cook, along with her family members Ryan Nemmers and Brandon Hansen, dropped off a special surprise at the Abben Cancer Center this week.
The trio on Aug. 12 hosted the 3rd Annual Cookie Memorial Mini-Golf Tournament during Everly Community Days. The tournament is held in memory of Denise's late husband, Kevin Cook, who passed away in late 2020 after a hard battle with cancer.
Thanks to the tournament, the Cook family was able to donate $1,535 to the Abben Cancer Center. The funds will be used to help many patients and families with a variety of needs such as transpo...
