The Iowa State Patrol investigated an accident which occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 7.
The report stated that Noah Feilmeier, 18, of Glidden, was driving west on 390th Street and pulled out from a stop sign to turn north onto Nettle Avenue. His 1992 Chevrolet C1500 was struck by a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by Matthew Simons, 53, of Marcus, which was northbound on Nettle Avenue. The C1500 came to rest in the east ditch facing north and the Envoy entered the east ditch where it rolled, landing on its wheels facing south.
Feilmeier was transported by Sheldon EMS to Sheldon Sanford Medical Center and Simons was transported there by Hospers EMS. Both were reported to have sustained non-life threatening injuries.
