A memorial service for David L. Van Oort will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Christian Reformed Church in Sanborn. Pastor Phillip Westra will officiate. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery at Sanborn. Sanborn Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

David Lee Van Oort, son of Harvey J. and Gloria A. (Baartman) Van Oort, was born in Sheldon on Jan. 18, 1967. He grew up in Sanborn along with his sister, Pam, and four brothers, Keith, Steven, Daryl and Chad. He received his education at River Valley Community School in Rock Valley.
