• Incident at Pride Group

An incident at the Pride Group east of Primghar has resulted in the arrest of Ellis Lard, 34, of Fredericksburg.

The report states that Lard allegedly entered the Pride Group facility on July 12, went behind the front reception/nurses desk and destroyed two computer monitors and a hard drive, and then destroyed a flat screen television in the residents’ common room.

Lard was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief-2nd degree, a class D felony. He was released from jail on a $5,000 unsecured appearance bond after appearing in court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 2.
