Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's baseball and softball teams will begin postseason play starting this weekend.

H-M-S (No. 4) will play George-Little Rock (No. 5) in the opening round of the Substate 1 District 1 baseball tournament. The game will be played at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, at Marcus. The winner advances to play Kingsley-Pierson (No. 1) on Wednesday, July 5.

Also at Marcus, South O'Brien (No. 6) takes on MMCRU (No. 3) at 7 p.m. The winner advances to play either North Union (No. 2) or Trinity Christian (No. 7).

H-M-S will host a quarterfinal round game of the Class 2A Region 1 softball...
