A memorial service for Ray E. Dirksen was held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly. Burial was at First Reformed Cemetery in rural Everly. Warner Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Ray Edwin Dirksen, the son of Theodore and Johanna Anna (Ringering) Dirksen, was born Nov. 14, 1935 in Everly. He was raised and attended country school No. 1 in Everly until the eighth grade and then finished his education in Spencer, graduating in 1953.
