After a record-setting high school career laden with honors and awards, H-M-S senior Kooper Ebel plans to play football at Iowa State next fall.
The accolades keep coming for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn senior Kooper Ebel, who was named the 2022 Class A Player of the Year by the Iowa Football Coaches Association.
The Hawk quarterback helped lead H-M-S to back-to-back 8-3 records in 2021 and 2022, each ending in the quarterfinal round of the Class A playoffs. He was the Offensive MVP of Class A District 1 for three straight seasons.
"I could not be more excited for him," said Hawk coach Jay Eilers in a recent announcement of the honor.
