• Possesses contraband in jail

Bayli Jordan, 20, of Spencer, was arrested on April 18 by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on a valid arrest warrant. She was in Sioux City when the arrest took place. Jordan was transported to the Clay County Jail where it is alleged that she had concealed contraband and brought it into the facility.

She was booked on her 30-day mittimus warrant and also charged with Possessing Contraband in a Correctional Facility, a class D felony.

• Warrant arrests in Clay County

Kevin Hinkel, 39, was taken into custody on April 17 by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in the 3500 mile of 340th Avenue. He was arrested on an active Clay County warrant for Theft-2nd Degree. Hinkel was released on $300 bond.

Ann Putzier, 59, was taken into custody at the sheriff’s office on April 19 on an active warrant for Violation of Probation. She was held at the jail on a $1,000 cash bond.

Daniel Douglas, 32, was taken into custody at the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on April 21 on an active warrant for Possession of a Firearm as a Felon. He was held in the county jail on a $5,000 cash bond.

• Flips vehicle into ditch

Shayli Rae Johnson, 16, of Calumet, was driving west on 485th Street at 8 a.m. on April 4. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reported that Johnson was distracted by papers falling onto the floor of her vehicle, which went off the right shoulder. She overcorrected and the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado flipped onto the passenger side in the north ditch.

Johnson and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured. Damage to the Silverado was estimated at $4,000.
