Services for Jeffrey D. Griebel were held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. Pastor Lynn Dau officiated. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina. Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina assisted with the arrangements.

Jeffrey D. Griebel, the son of Marlo and Arlis (Langerock) Griebel, was born May 23, 1961 in LeMars. He was baptized on July 2, 1961 at Calvary Church in LeMars. He was a youth elder and attended General Assembly following confirmation at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina on April 15, 1976. He received his education from Paullina High School, graduating in 1979.

He was united in marriage to Christine Craig on April 10, 1982, at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. The couple made their home in Paullina raising their two sons, Derek and Dillon. Jeff worked on the pipeline in Sioux Falls, S.D. for many years and then became self-employed working on the farm.

Jeff was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. He enjoyed spending time at Okoboji and boating. He especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren meant the world to him.

Jeff passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Orange City Area Health, reaching the age of 61 years, 10 months and nine days.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons and their wives: Derek and Jennifer Griebel, of Paullina, and Dillon and Stephanie Griebel, of Sanborn; grandchildren: Alex, Anna, Allison, Adalynn, Colin and Blair; his parents, Marlo and Arlis Griebel, of Sioux City; mother-in-law, Joyce Craig, of Paullina; his siblings, Jaquelyn (Jeff), Jay (Cindy), Jewelyn (Jim) and Jamathyn; along with other relatives and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Christine, in 2020; twin grandsons, Abel and Bennett Griebel; and father-in-law, Howard Craig.
