1998: Hartley Lions Club heads to Branson

The offices of Mayor W.R. Wagner and Chamber of Commerce Secretary Ingwer L. Hansen were located in the Legion Hall, in a room vacated by Peoples Natural Gas. They relocated to the P.A. Leese building, formerly Rahn’s Market on the west side of Central Avenue.

The town council appointed R.C. Hoper to fill the unexpired term of A.F. Hansen as park commissioner. The park board announced that the Friday Club and the Hartley Fire Department had donated picnic tables. The Friday Club also planned to erect a fireplace at the park in the spring.
