Funeral services for Mark A. Schmid were held Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Father Brian Feller and Father Tim Hogan officiated.

Casket bearers were Leo Behrens, Jeff Pearson, Jarett Smith, Mike Schon, Matt Mayer, Jeremy Thiessen, Steve Berends and Gary Klett. Honorary bearers were his grandchildren: Jacob Danilson, Maggie Danilson, Anna Schmid, Isabelle Schmid, Adaline Self and Jocelyn Self. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery at Spencer. Warner Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
