The Pork in the Pantry program assists local food pantries through the county Pork Producer organizations. O'Brien County Pork Producers teamed up with the Food Bank at Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley and the O'Brien County Veterans Affairs Food Pantry. The Iowa Pork Producers Association will reimburse the county organization up to $1,000 for pork products. Nelson Locker in Hartley supplied this program with bacon and ground pork.

Volunteers at Trinity United Church of Christ, Katie Ginger at the Veterans Affairs Office in Primghar, Josh Paskert at Nelson Locker and LeRoy Raabe from the O'Brien County Pork Producers helped with this program.
