Team, 1 individual to bowl at Waterloo next week
Members of the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys' bowling team which will compete at the 1A state tournament are from left to right: Skyler Shaffer, Caleb Aaron, Drew Prins, Dawson Niichel, Marcus Aaron, Jack Mastbergen and Riley Russell. In its first postseason competition as a program, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys' bowling team has earned a trip to the state tournament at Waterloo.
The Hawks won the team title at the state qualifying meet Tuesday at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn. H-M-S topped the standings after the series of 15 baker games with a cumulative score of 2869. The next closest team was Shenandoah which finished at 2689.
