H-M-S girls rally to defeat Trinity Christian in overtime

Trinity Christian controlled the first half, but Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn came back during the final two quarters and in overtime to claim a 44-40 win on Feb. 3 in Hartley.

The Tigers scored the first nine points and led 12-4 at the end of the first quarter. They extended the margin to 11 midway through the second quarter and led 18-10 at half time.

The Hawks still trailed by that margin when they began a 9-0 run late in the third quarter, giving them their first lead. A late three-pointer put Trinity Christian back in front, 25-23.
