Okoboji/HMS wrestlers finish with 5-2 Siouxland mark

An unofficial Siouxland Conference dual tournament to complete six teams' schedules was held at Sioux Center on Feb. 2. Okoboji/HMS won one dual, lost one by a single point and dropped another to a highly-ranked team.
The Pioneers defeated MOC-Floyd Valley, 46-30; lost to Sioux Center, 34-33, by the tie-breaker criteria; and fell to Top 10-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, 50-24. With those results, Okoboji/HMS finished the conference dual season with a record of 5-2, and was 9-6 overall.
H-M-S senior Bryce Dodge pinned two opponents, both in less than a minute, and won a decision to finish 3-0. James Gellerman and Ethan Wiersma were 1-2, with Wiersma earning his win by fall.
