Hard work pays off, and sometimes it's in the form of a pie to the face.
Such was the case for students at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Elementary last week. The young Hawks celebrated achieving their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) goals by slamming pies into the faces of five unlucky teachers and Principal Ashley Benz. Students filled the gym to watch the mayhem, which was recorded and posted on the district's Facebook page for all to see.
According to Benz, a student's name from each grade level was drawn during the assembly to do the deed. She explained the PBIS celebration...
