Following a quick takedown, Bryce Dodge needs little time to pin Luke Malm, of GT/RA, during the double dual at Spencer.
Okoboji/H-M-S needed a strong finish to defeat Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire during a wrestling double dual at Spencer on Dec. 1.
GT/RA held a 12-point lead after the 138-pound match but wins by Alex Rouse, Bryce Dodge and Noah Strantz lifted the Pioneers to the 42-36 win.
An opening-match pin by Ethan Wiersma and a win by fall by James Gellerman in the final match were not enough to prevent a 50-24 loss to the Tigers.
Dodge, Gellerman and Wiersma each split their matches. Jafet Ortiz lost both of his matches in his first varsity action.
