Relays, field events shine for H-M-S boys' tracksters

First-place finishers in two relays and the discus throw were among the top performances by the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys’ track and field team at the John Larson Relays. The meet hosted by North Union was held April 28 at Armstrong.

Ryan Borden, Ethan Diehm, Kooper Ebel and Connor Dodd ran a winning time of 1:35.65 in the 4x200 relay. Those same runners also ran to victory in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:46.48.

Two Hawks sat atop the standings in the discus throw. Adam Schierholz had the best throw, reaching 118’4-1/2” while Keevyn Jacobsma placed second at 113’1-1/2”.
