Nearly two-dozen children were part of last Sunday's King's Kamp spring program.

Bethlehem Lutheran's King's Kampers united on Sunday for their annual spring program.

The program entitled, "Heroes of the Faith," told of heroes found in the Bible and how each of these extraordinary people were ordinary men, women and children that leaned into their faith by listening to God's direction. When they did as God commanded, they found that anything was possible, even the impossible. The children were told how they, too, can make extraordinary things happen through their faith in the Lord.

Pianist Sue Brugman started the performance off with prelude music as the preschool and kindergarten children entered the sanctuary. The children told the audience of what they want to be when they grow up, ranging from singers to doctors and everything in between. The younger children then sang songs highlighting the stories of Jonah, Peter, John, James, Zacchaeus, Ezekiel and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Next up were the 1-6 grade students, who also started their portion of the service letting everyone know what they wanted to be when they grew up. Their answers ranged from hair stylists and veterinarians to architects and football players.

The older children then sang stories of David and Goliath, Moses and the Promised Land, and Elijah.

The program ended with the children reiterating that God will never fail us, and how when we give our hearts to Him, He will listen to our prayers. They spoke of how God always keeps His promises and will never disappoint us, always keeping us in His loving arms.
