H-M-S girls 'grow up' during 2021-22 season
Players make progress during 7-16 campaign

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn had just 14 players in the girls’ basketball program during the 2021-22 season and seven of them were freshmen. But the team showed improvement throughout the winter.
The Hawks’ varsity records were 7-16 overall and 1-9 in the War Eagle Conference. H-M-S was eliminated by Sibley-Ocheyedan in the quarterfinals of Class 2A regional tournament following a 49-47 win over Alta-Aurelia.
