Wins in six of the final seven games gave the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys’ basketball team a double-digit victory total for the second straight year.

The Hawks won the last five regular season games and a double overtime thriller over Trinity Christian in the first round of the 1A district tournament. The 2021-22 season ended with a 66-22 loss to Remsen St. Mary’s in the quarterfinals.

The strong finish gave H-M-S records of 11-12 overall and 4-6 in War Eagle Conference games.

Hawk coach Naet Hoaglund was impressed with the Hawks’ approach to the season.
