CC/E Elementary counselor Marlana Tewes makes kids' days enjoyable in a variety of ways.

Last week the nation celebrated School Counselor Week by recognizing those that deserve accolades in their counseling work and services. Clay Central/Everly made sure to highlight their school counselor, Mrs. Marlana Tewes, and all of the work she does with students and staff at CC/E.

Tewes is an excellent example of going the extra mile in connecting with students by making their days a little less heavy and a whole lot of fun. Throughout the years, Tewes has donned many outfits to highlight different school events, ranging from Elsa to an elf, sporting CC/E colors with pride and carving pumpkins in different classes. Even though Tewes is quick to take a light hearted approach to making the school days at CC/E fun, she takes her job seriously in providing social and emotional assistance to the students and staff at CC/E.
