Funeral services for DonnaBelle E. Seavert will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal, with Pastor Mark Wilms officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Casket bearers are Ryan Seavert, Staci Madetzke, Kayla Simons, Christopher Zinnel, Timothy Zinnel, Jonathan Zinnel, Rachael Seavert, Kimberly Rerucha, Kari Ellis and Allie McFarlane. Interment will be in Willow Creek Cemetery at Royal. Warner Funeral Home in Spencer is assisting with the arrangements.

DonnaBelle Elgene Seavert, the daughter of Daney Edward and Eva Francis Thorton Stark, was born June 23, 1925, in Darfur, Minn. Donna received her education and graduated from Comfrey High School in Comfrey, Minn. in 1943.

On Dec. 7, 1947, Donna married James Alfred Seavert in Darfur. Following their marriage they moved to Royal, where Donna raised her family and worked at Home State Bank for about one year and at Cargill Elevator for 25 years.

Donna loved to spend time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and their other activities. She also enjoyed playing cards, dancing in her early years and was well known for her many quilts she has made over the years. She was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal.

On Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, Donna passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 96. She is preceded by her parents; her husband, James; son, Douglas (Nancy) Seavert; daughter, Darlene Zinnel; three sisters: Velda (Harry) Englin, Betty (Gene) Rathman and Celesta (Al) Hagg; brother, Wendell (Donnabel) Stark; great-granddaughter, Faith Jean Ellis; and three brothers-in-law: Harold Carlson, John Norell and Cal Jorgenson.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and their wives: Dale and Patricia Seavert, of Becker, Minn.; and Danny and Claudia Seavert, of Royal; one son-in-law, Steve Zinnel, of Swea City; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harlie (Carol) Stark, of Darfur, Minn.; three sisters: Elaine Jorgenson, of St James, Minn.; Anita Carlson, of Byron, Minn.; and Caroline (Ron) Finstad, of St James, Minn.; as well as other relatives and friends.
