Blood drive Nov. 22 at Spencer
LifeServe Blood Center is conducting a drive at Southpark Mall, 901 11th Street SW in Spencer, on Monday, Nov. 22 from 12:30-6 p.m.

Trees needed for ‘Everly’s Winter Wonderland’
Friends of the Everly Public Library are looking for service groups, clubs, churches, businesses and individuals to decorate and display a Christmas tree or table decoration at “Everly’s Winter Wonderland,” which will be held December 2-3.

Turkey Trot 5K in Hartley is Nov. 25
Hartley Health & Fitness Center will hold its inaugural Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25. The run will begin at 8 a.m.

HLC food pantry special hours
The food pantry at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Thanksgiving food packages will be offered to the first 15 people.

Tuesday, Nov. 23: Breakfast – Breakfast pizza, fruit, juice; Lunch – Chicken patty/bun, chips (9-12), corn, celery, peaches.
Wednesday, Nov. 24: No School – P/T Comp Day.
Thursday, Nov. 25: No School – Thanksgiving.
Friday, Nov. 26: No School – Thanksgiving Holiday.
Milk served with each meal. Fruit/veggie bar served with lunch.

Service of remembrance Nov. 29 at Spencer
Warner Funeral Home, Avera at Home of Spencer Hospital, Abben Cancer Center and area churches are sponsoring a candlelight service of remembrance for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
The service will be held Monday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Hope Reformed Church, 919 Grand Avenue in Spencer.
