H-M-S vocalists sing in honor choir: Several young singers from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Middle School participated in the 7/8 Northwest Iowa ICDA Honor Choir on Nov. 2 in Le Mars. H-M-S's Jordan Lux was chosen as soloist. More than 300 singers from 34 schools came together. The 7/8 Bass Festival was under the direction of David Schaefer, and the 7/8 Treble Festival choir was directed by Samantha Robilliard. The H-M-S students are directed by Kristi Wingert. October rainfall improves Iowa drought conditions

This October ranks as one of the Top 10 wettest Octobers on record, with rainfall significantly improving drought conditions, according to the latest Water Summary Update by the Iowa DNR.
