Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn closed out the 2021 volleyball season with a 3-0 loss to Boyden-Hull in the quarterfinal round of the Class 2A regional tournament.

The Hawks finished the year with a record of 2-17, with both wins coming in five-set matches against Harris-Lake Park and Sioux Central. H-M-S finished 10th in the War Eagle Conference with a record of 1-9.

"We obviously would have liked more marks in the W column," Hawk coach Cheryl Kroese acknowledged. "I'm proud of the girls for continuing to work hard throughout the season and getting the win in the postseason."

Seniors Jasmine Lux, Emily Otto and Kaley Pearson conclude their high school careers.

"Our three seniors have done a great job of being leaders," Kroese noted. "We wish them the best in their futures and they will definitely be missed."
