More than 50 participants enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit as they painted ceramic Christmas trees last Monday at the Everly Public Library.

The Everly Public Library has been abuzz lately with numerous events, workout classes and craft nights. The schedule continues to fill as the institution promotes community gatherings within its walls, making foot traffic and local intrigue steadily increase.

The latest event has been one of the most successful to date. Monday night the library hosted its first-ever ceramic Christmas Tree painting event. With more than 50 participants in attendance, the building was filled to the brim with painters creating festive masterpieces to enjoy during the upcoming holiday months.

The library recently announced fall/winter craft nights, which will allow Monday evenings to be a night of creation. Whether it's a project you're already creating or something you're interested in learning about, you can head in to the library starting next month. "Experts" will be on hand teaching the art of crocheting with crochet needle kits available to check out if you'd like to give it a try. Ideas are welcome and participation is encouraged.

During the month of September, you can join chair yoga at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday mornings. For more events and sign-up information, contact the Everly Public Library directly at (712) 834-2390 or everlylibrary@gmail.com.
