Awarded scholarship at Buena Vista

Hannah Schiltz, of Everly, was awarded the Invest in Rural Iowa Scholarship by Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.

The Invest in Rural Iowa Scholarship program is a $5,000 per year scholarship reserved for students who hail from a 19-county region of northwest Iowa, have high academic records and actively participated in their high school organizations and in serving their communities. As a recipient of the scholarship, Schiltz pledges to continue serving others in the community.

Volunteers needed to deliver meals

Community Memorial Health Center is looking for volunteers to help deliver Meals on Wheels to local residents. If interested, call Linda at (712) 728-2428.

Everly farm sweeps state fair babydoll sheep show

Schoelerman’s Babydoll House, of Everly, took top honors in the babydoll sheep show judged at the 2021 Iowa State Fair. The farm was awarded the champion and reserve champion ram and ewe banners and first place in the premier exhibitor contest.
