Roger D. Frick, 83, of Eden Prairie, Minn., passed away peacefully on March 5, 2020.

He was preceded in death by parents, siblings and daughter, Judine Ruggles. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Karen; son-in-law, Bruce (Ann) Ruggles; grandchildren: Randon (Emily) Ruggles, Eric (Whitney) Ruggles and Robyn (Tom) Ringberg; great-grandchildren: Opal, Charlotte and Wesley; along with many other relatives and friends.

Roger, son of Bill and Lena Frick, was born and raised in Hartley. He graduated from Hartley High School and then attended aviation mechanic school in Lincoln, Neb. Roger started flying at 16 and his first passenger was Karen Wiese, who would later become his wife. He received his private pilot license at age 19. He spent over 45 years in the aviation field and retired as the Aviation Director and Chief Pilot for SuperValu Stores in Minneapolis, Minn.

Roger was an active member of Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church in Bloomington, Minn., where a memorial service was held on March 12, 2020. A graveside service will occur at Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley on Saturday, June 19.
