Old playground equipment has been removed from the school grounds in preparation of its replacement, which will be installed prior to the start of the 2021-22 school year.
Things are beginning to take shape as the Clay Central/Everly Elementary playground in Royal gets a much-needed facelift.
The old equipment was recently removed. Soon, existing pea rock will be pulled back where the new gear will be placed and graded to level things off. This second step should be completed by the end of the week. Once the ground is level, the district will give word to the playground equipment company, which will install the equipment before the 2021-2022 school year begins.
