Memorial services for Vernon R. Mortensen were held Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal. Pastor Mark Wilms officiated.

Honorary casket bearers were Ryan Mortensen, Chris Mortensen, Blake Mortensen, Michael Virelli, Tony Virelli, Steve Virelli, Lena Krenzke and Maggie Mortensen. Interment was in Willow Creek Cemetery at Royal. Warner Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
