Noah Adams, of Hartley, is the son of Tom and Sharon Adams. He plans to attend NCC in Sheldon to become an electrician. He has been involved in football and track at H-M-S, and his favorite memories are Friday night lights with the boys. His advice to underclass men is to use your time wisely.

Jagger Anliker, of Primghar, is the son of Jamin and Jeana Anliker. He plans to work towards a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science. He has been involved in NHS, Spanish NHS and quiz bowl, and his favorite memory was walking around downtown Nashville with friends. His advice to underclassmen is to work on projects way before the last minute.

Gabe Bronstad, of Hartley, is the son of Stephanie Bronstad and Gary Bronstad. He plans to attend the University of Iowa and study pre-med orthopedics. He has been involved in football, wrestling, track, golf, NHS, Spanish NHS and Student Council, and his favorite memory is going to the playoffs in football. His advice to underclassmen is to enjoy all four years while it lasts.


Joshua Cole, of Hartley, is the son of Jody Cole and Vicki Hanley. He has been involved in band and plans to become a vet. His favorite memory is being with friends and his advice to underclassmen is to always listen and dress appropriate.

Dylan Doyle, of Hartley, is the son of Stacy and Tricia Doyle. He has been involved in football, basketball and STEM, and he plans to enter the workforce after high school. His favorite memory is making a state football playoff appearance and his advice to underclassmen is to enjoy all four years while it lasts.


Taylan Elwood, of Sanborn, is the son of Ashley and Nick Sampson. He has been involved in football and plans to attend the University of Iowa to major in some sort of business degree. His favorite memory is seeing his friends every day at school, and his advice to underclassmen is to enjoy the four years while you can and make the most of it because it flies by fast.

Chayton Faulkner, of Sanborn, is the son of Raoul and Jennifer Faulkner and Marie Rohrs. He plans to work for C-S Agrow Service for a year and then attend college at Kirkwood for carpentry, welding and construction management. He was the mascot at H-M-S and was also involved in wrestling and the school play. His favorite memory is when he almost got framed for something he didn’t do during the play, and his advice to underclassmen is to keep your mouth shut and do what you’re told.

Kiara Fernandez, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Karen Lopez. She has been involved in golf and plans to go to college to be an accountant. Her favorite memory is getting to experience high school in America and meeting her friends, and her advice to underclassmen is to have fun in life, be prepared and make wise decisions.

Paige Gehrke, of Hartley, is the daughter of Jessica Gehrke and Craig Gehrke. She plans to work after high school to give herself time to save money for college and figure out what to go for. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track and softball, and her advice to underclassmen is to go out for sports and take hard classes because you never know what adventure will come from them. Her favorite memory is how welcoming people were to her after transferring this year, going to Starbucks early in the morning and trying to make it back in time, and jumping in puddles before school started.

Scott Glackin, of Royal, is the son of Rod and Melinda Glackin. He has been involved in basketball and plans to attend Iowa Lakes Community College for the SAVE program. His favorite memory is playing basketball and his advice to underclassmen is to study and do your best.

Olivia Gonzalez, of Hartley, is the daughter of Sonia and Vicente Nuñez. She has been involved in choir, flags and track, and plans to attend NCC to study nursing. She has way too many great memories to pick a favorite one, and her advice to underclassmen is to enjoy every moment of high school because it goes by fast.

Olivia Grooters, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Dave and April Grooters. She has been involved in band, basketball, drama, FCCLA, FFA, FCA, jazz band, NHS and volleyball, and she plans to attend Buena Vista University to study pre-vet. Her favorite memory is chasing Clint Peters and beating him with a crutch, and her advice to underclassmen is to step out of your comfort zone – you will be pushed to new limits, and you will find new things that you are good at.

Hailey Grotluschen, of Hartley, is the daughter Heather Skoglund and Chris Grotluschen. She has been involved in science club, quiz bowl, business club, student council, State of Iowa Youth Broadband Council and NHS. She plans to attend Drake University to major in journalism in the 3+3 law track. Her favorite memory is track practices, and her advice to underclassmen is to be open to try new things.

Bennett Haack, of Sanborn, is the son of Ryan and Erica Haack. He has been involved in basketball, baseball, golf, band, jazz band, student council, NHS, Spanish NHS, Bible study, youth group, business club, speech, quiz bowl, NASA Space Settlement and Design Competition and football statistician. His favorite memory is beating South O’Brien by 19 in basketball his last time playing them, and his advice to underclassmen is to stay caught up on school work and don’t skip class too much.

Samuel Heyn, of Sanborn, is the son of Terry Heyn and Kara Heyn. He has been involved in football, baseball, basketball, golf, quiz bowl, NHS and student council, and he plans to attend the University of Iowa to major in journalism and mass communication while minoring in statistics. His favorite high school memory is beating South O’Brien by 19 in basketball his senior year, and his advice to underclassmen is to not take time here for granted, especially senior year – it flies by faster than any other year in your life.

Cherryenne Hibbing, of Hartley, is the daughter of Bill and Josie Hibbing. She has been involved in Dance Attack, choir, and solo/ensemble contest, and plans to attend NCC to complete her gen eds. Her favorite memory from high school is having a lip sync battle with her brother, James, to the Pokémon theme song.

Kayl Jacobsma, of Sanborn, is the son of Ryan and Becky Jacobsma. He has been involved in football and basketball, and he plans to attend the University of Iowa and study pre-business. His favorite memory is getting saved junior year by COVID-19, and his advice to underclassmen is don’t sweat the small stuff.

Kylie Jatho, of Hartley, is the daughter of Brian Jatho and Tammy Salzkorn. She has been involved in band, choir, jazz choir, solo/ensemble and cheerleading. She plans to attend the Faust Institute of Cosmetology, and her advice to underclassmen is to stay out of personal problems.

Angela Juarez, of Hartley, is the daughter of Jose Juarez and Cloria Ledesma. She has been involved in choir, and she plans to go into the workforce and attend college after a year. Her favorite memory is human anatomy class, and her advice to underclassmen is to do things now to get you ahead for your future.

Elly Klein, of Hartley, is the daughter of Tami and Anton Klein. She has been involved in FCA, choir and band, and she plans to attend Northeast Iowa Community College to study nursing. Her favorite memory is the Nashville trip, and her advice to underclassmen is to get involved and do the extra-curricular activities, because that’s how you make new friends.

Jason Kruger, of Sheldon, is the son of Tyanne and Jason Kruger. He has been involved in basketball and plans to become an auto mechanic after high school. His favorite memory is having fun with Dawson and DJ in basketball, and his advice to underclassmen is to do all your work because it’s worth it.

Chance Lester, of Melvin, is the son of Sheila Ross. He has been involved in game club, and he plans to attend NCC for his Associate of Arts degree. His favorite memory is carrying Chayton through the halls on his shoulder, and his advice to underclassmen is to read.

Desyre Martinez, of Hartley, is the daughter of Delfina Ruiz-Lopez. She has been involved in individual speech, Spanish NHS, student council, cheerleading, group speech, softball, track, cross country and volleyball. She plans to enter the workforce as a CNA after high school. Her favorite memory is her first-ever color guard performance at a football game (even though it was quite horrible for the team) because everyone had fun and laughed a lot. Her advice to underclassmen is to not be afraid of doing what you want – don’t let others try to control your decisions and influence you to make the wrong choice.

Taya Mason, of Hartley, is the daughter of Kristy and Ray Wiederholt. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track and field, softball, Dance Attack, fall ball, jazz choir, band and choir. She plans to attend Minnesota West to play volleyball and study nursing. Her favorite memory is breaking her ankle over a bass drum and her advice to underclassmen is to enjoy sports and high school while it lasts, because it truly goes by fast.

Darby Mastbergen, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Jessica Giese and Eric Mastbergen. She has been involved in NHS, volleyball, basketball, bowling, dance, golf, softball, band, jazz band, choir, show choir, youth group, Bible study, drama, quiz bowl and solo/ensemble contest. She plans to attend the University of Iowa to study nursing. Her favorite memory is Homecoming 2019 when the junior team for the volleyball game won the tournament, and her advice to underclassmen is to be involved because it makes your high school experience a lot better and more fun.

Elle Mastbergen, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Jessica Giese and Eric Mastbergen. She has been involved in volleyball, bowling, track and field, golf, softball, NHS, student council, band, jazz band, choir, show choir and school play. She plans to attend Iowa State University to study architecture. Her favorite memory is she and Ben racing Gabe and Cher in golf carts during the Homecoming parade, and her advice to underclassmen is to watch out for doors – especially Ms. Wolter’s door.

J.P. Mutombo, of Hartley, is the son of John Mutombo and Aimerence Mutombo. He has been involved in FCA, track, basketball and youth group, and he plans to attend the University of South Dakota. His favorite memory is senior track season and his advice to underclassmen is to be a good role model.

Maggie Ohrt, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Ramo Ohrt and RaeJean Langley. She has been involved in FFA, football and softball, and she plans to attend ILCC to study ag production technology. Her favorite memory is when Blake Seivert broke his finger at FFA State Convention trying to change his clothes, and her advice to underclassmen is to have fun and make sure to pick on Mrs. Gaard and Brenda.

Evelyn Ortiz, of May City, is the daughter of Benigno Ortiz and Maria Porras. She has been involved in golf and she plans to attend NCC, possibly transferring to a different college after a year. Her favorite memory is the pep rallies and Homecoming, and her advice to underclassmen is to just enjoy your time in high school because it will go by faster than you think.

Connor Pasillas, of Hartley, is the son of Juan Carlos Pasillas and Lori Ann Leth. He has been involved in cross country and plans to enroll in the SAVE Program after high school. His favorite memory is when Mrs. Kenny had to kiss a pig, and his advice to underclassmen is to never let your dreams just be dreams – keep on pushing no matter what.

Jose Ramirez, of Hartley, is the son of Gaby Gonzalez. He has been involved in board game club and his future plans are undetermined. His favorite memory is the day Mr. Cowell brought in an Xbox and just played Fortnite in front of the class for the day, and his advice to underclassmen is if you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you should do is stop digging.

Megan Recher, of Harris, is the daughter of Mark and Lynette Recher. She plans to attend the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology to study mechanical engineering and materials science. She has been involved in concert band, jazz band, solo/ensemble contest, quiz bowl, science club, wrestling manager, softball, track, NHS and Spanish NHS. Her favorite memory is skipping school with Elly Klein to find a trailer for the Homecoming parade, and her advice to underclassmen is to stay involved and try something new – you never know what you are going to like.

Ava Reitsma, of Sanborn, is the daughter of Ben and Adrienne Reitsma. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, band, choir, jazz band, jazz choir and FCA, and she plans to attend ILCC to study early childhood education, play volleyball and be involved in the music department. Her favorite memory is Homecoming week festivities and her advice underclassmen is to make everybody feel like somebody.

Jessica Riedemann, of Hartley, is the daughter of Sheila and Robert Riedemann. She has been involved in volleyball, softball, fall ball, FCCLA, FFA, jazz choir and youth group, and she plans to attend Morningside University to study psychology and play volleyball. Her favorite memory is falling in front of the entire gym during a basketball game the first day she had to use crutches, and her advice to underclassmen is to get involved in extracurricular activities and step outside of your comfort zone.

Dawson Schiphoff, of Hartley, is the son of Kari and Dixon Schiphoff. He has been involved in football, basketball, baseball, track, choir and fishing team, and he plans to attend Southwest Minnesota State University to study environmental science and play baseball. His favorite memory is playing sports with all of his friends, and his advice to underclassmen is to have fun because high school goes by fast.

Shawna Schueder, of Hartley, is the daughter of Tina Malsam and Chad Malsam. She has been involved in choir and FFA, and she plans to attend college. Her advice to underclassmen is don’t wait until your senior year to get your grades up.

Bailey Schwarzenbach, of Sanborn, is the son of Amber Dole, Shawn Dole and Sheila Daggett. He has been involved in board game club and plans to take a yearlong break before studying graphic design. His favorite memory is the sophomore skit and his advice to underclassmen is don’t procrastinate as much as he did.

Nathan Serr, of Sanborn, is the son of Victor and Debra Serr, and Julie Bowen Serr. He has been involved in wrestling and games club, and he plans to study industrial organizational psychology. His favorite memory is beginning to socialize like a normal person and his advice to underclassmen is don’t be a tiresome person.

Michael Simkins, of Sanborn, is the son of Kim and Glenn Simkins. He has been involved in choir and plans to attend the University of South Dakota. His favorite memory is the Nashville trip and his advice to underclassmen is to use your head – apply yourself in all that you do and reap the benefits.

Emily Sindt, of Everly, is the daughter of Al and Robin Sindt. She has been involved in choir, flag corps, golf, play/drama, FFA, individual speech, group speech and NHS. She plans to attend NCC to complete her gen eds and then transfer to Iowa State and study to become an ag teacher. Her favorite memory is when Mrs. Burns couldn’t get the Suburban started after a golf meet, but after Kevin Soden came all the way to Orange City with a new vehicle, she discovered she was using the wrong key. Her advice to underclassmen is to try new things even if your friends aren’t involved and cherish every single moment of high school, because it will be over in the blink of an eye.

Jada Spencer, of Everly, is the daughter of Jenny Spencer. She plans to go to NCC to study nursing after high school. Her favorite memory is Jasmine Cole and her advice to underclassmen is that library is a good place to take a nap.

Cameryn Van Ravenswaay, of Hartley, is the daughter of Laura and Matt Lux and Crystal and Michael Van Ravenswaay. She has been involved in FFA and served as track manager, and she plans to go to ILCC. Her favorite memory is seeing Jassy every day and her advice to underclassmen is to get all A’s if possible.
